Role Introduction / Overview:

Enterprise Services and Public Affairs seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues. The Communications team is a nimble group in Enterprise Services and Public Affairs that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our lines of business. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce of more than 200,000 colleagues. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the Enterprise Services and Public Affairs team across the world.

The Digital & Social Media Manager - Vice President is a key member of the Communications team within Enterprise Services and Public Affairs. You will work with senior leadership and partners throughout the Global Communications organization and businesses to support reputation management and drive engagement on Citi’s social media and digital channels. The person in this role should be comfortable working across various team functions in support of larger communications goals and will be actively involved in content management and development, process management, measurement and social listening.

What you'll do:

1. In partnership with the Head of Digital Content and Social Media, develop and drive Citi’s social media and digital content strategy
2. Work with the team to advance Citi’s core communications goals and objectives across social and digital channels
3. Assist in development of content and/or content strategy to support core social media campaigns across corporate and executive channels
4. Support content management on, liaising between technology and communications, marketing or business stakeholders to make regular content updates, support core initiatives and execute campaigns on the website
5. Act as a day-to-day lead for reputation management on social media, using social listening tools to identify trends and opportunities relevant to Citi and monitor key issues and conversations
6. Coordinate content scheduling and publishing across corporate social channels using content management tool, partnering with internal stakeholders to identify overlaps and gaps across business units or initiatives
7. Provide guidance and counsel on content distribution
8. Work with stakeholders to create custom web experiences surrounding key events and activations, acting as a strategic counselor and seamlessly balancing new requests against existing priorities and firmwide initiatives
9. Assist in sourcing and developing creative assets for optimal use and performance across channels, partnering with creative and media teams when needed
10. Support digital and social media elements of live and virtual live events in partnership with PR, production and digital teams
11. Use metrics reports, monitoring to continually adapt and improve Citi’s social media and web presence
12. Be knowledgeable about new trends, best practices and opportunities in the social, digital space, identifying white space and opportunities for Citi
13. Be a steward of brand voice, being mindful of consistency across business units and activations
14. Partner closely with Communications leadership and teams to inform and advise on both ongoing communications work and areas of opportunity
15. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

What We'll Need From You:

16. Knowledge of communications or marketing and significant experience of increased responsibility, preferably with a large and complex organization
17. Extensive knowledge of social media channels and platforms
18. Experience distilling complex subject matter into easily-understood digital content
19. Aptitude for developing and shaping compelling content for internal and external audiences
20. Ability to adapt content across social and digital channels
21. Subject matter expertise in social media platforms and trends
22. Strong grasp in social listening and social media issues management
23. Experience interfacing and collaborating with individuals in technical roles
24. Knowledge and ability to apply fundamentals of Search Engine Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization
25. Familiarity with content management tools such as Sprinklr
26. General understanding and comfort level with AI tools and their application to Communications
27. Strong attention to detail
28. A leader who will implement initiatives effectively and proactively drive projects forward
29. Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives

Education:

35. Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, marketing or another related field
