Overview
Nurture Child Care Services (part of the Pebbles Care Group) is recruiting full-time Residential Support Workers across our sites in Lancashire. This role involves delivering a caring, therapeutic approach to support children within two-bed homes, working as part of a team to meet each young person's needs.

Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one or two-to-one support tailored to each young person’s needs.
* Assist with all aspects of home life, including driving children to attend school, appointments, or visits; food preparation; chores; and organizing outings and holidays.
* Work full-time, averaging 40 hours per week, plus sleep hours, on a rotating schedule.
* Collaborate with the team on shifts and support other homes within the same geographical area as required.
* Participate in induction and training on our therapeutic care model with the Learning and Development team; receive ongoing expert support from Psychology, Education, and Senior Management teams.
What we offer
* Total target earnings of £34,650.00 to £35,688.00 per annum, pro rata.
* Full-time rota: two days on (48 hours, including sleepover) and four days off.
* Average weekly hours: 40 per week plus sleepover shifts (about 11 per month).
* 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum (pro-rata for part-time contracts).
* 100% funding support for Level 3 NVQ qualification in Residential Child Care through our Learning and Development team.

Essential qualities
* Dedication to safeguarding children and young people.
* Desire for personal development and qualifications.
* Confident, resilient, and compassionate nature.
* Full UK manual driving licence is required (homes have their own manual vehicles).
* Kind, supportive, patient, and non-judgmental; attentive listener with good communication skills.
* Creativity to have fun and learn new skills; proficient IT skills including Microsoft packages.
Desirable qualities
* Up to 12 months of experience with children or young adults (more than 12 months may qualify for higher salaries).
* Working towards or intending to obtain a Level 3 Diploma related to children and young people’s residential care (funding may be available).
* Familiarity with Codes of Practice set by regulatory bodies.
* Existing DBS certificate.
