Job description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Supporting children who have stepped down from a child protection plan and consent to ongoing support via a child in need plan.
* Managing cases of privately fostered children.
* Overseeing children on a Supervision Order (excluding interim orders).
* Supporting children on a Special Guardianship Order with a support plan requiring specific tasks as a child in need.
* Assisting families with no recourse to public funds or resettlement families.
* Providing support to babies who were part of the pre-birth pathway and have been safely living with the assessed parent for a minimum of three months.
* Handling Section 7 and 37 private law proceedings not managed by the Court Progression Officers.
* Managing cases where Worcestershire is identified as the designated LA area for a Child in Need.
* Supporting pregnant children under 18 or those with a baby, both of whom have level 4 needs.
Requirements:
* Social Work Degree.
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Proven experience in social work, particularly in managing children in need cases.
* Strong understanding of the Children Act 1989 and related legislation.
* Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Excellent communication and case management skills.
* Capability to review and respond to transfer requests promptly.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
