Our client, a global service sector business, are experiencing an exciting period of growth and are looking to recruit a Fixed Asset Manager to strengthen their existing team and take ownership of the fixed asset accounting process. This is a key role within the financial management team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy,pliance, and integrity of the fixed asset register across multiple entities.
Your new role
As Fixed Asset Manager, you will lead the end-to-end management of fixed assets, including tracking, depreciation, disposals, and capital project accounting. You’ll work closely with finance and operational teams to ensure timely postings, audit readiness, and strategic capital planning.Key responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining the global fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of additions, transfers, and disposals.
2. Calculating and posting monthly depreciation in line with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
3. Monitoring capital project spend and ensuring timely and accurate capitalisation.
4. Preparing monthly fixed asset reports and reconciling the register to the general ledger.
5. Ensuring fullpliance with IFRS/local GAAP and internal asset capitalisation policies.
What you'll need to succeed
6. Fully qualified accountant with 5+ years’ experience in fixed asset or capital accounting.
7. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and fixed asset accounting standards.
8. Proven experience managing capital projects and depreciation schedules.
9. Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle R12 FA module or similar).
10. Excellent reconciliation and reporting skills with strong attention to detail.
