Offer description

How would you like to get paid for five days, but only work four?

At Outcomes First Group, we believe in better work/life balance — and we’re putting wellbeing first.

That’s why we’re proud to be part of a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours), while still receiving your full-time pay.

Many of our schools have already introduced the 4DWW — and others are preparing to roll it out as soon as they reach full staffing. So, whether it’s already in place or just around the corner, now’s the perfect time to join #teamOFG.

Job Title: Outreach Lead

Location: Options Trent Acres, Kings Bromley, Staffordshire, DE13 7HR

Hours: 40 Hours per Week | Monday - Friday | 8am - 4pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

Start Date: November 2025

At Options Trent Acres, we are passionate about delivering high-quality education and life-changing support to children and young people with complex needs, including SEMH, autism, and associated learning differences.

As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a committed, compassionate, and proactive Outreach Lead to support our pupils and their families. This is your chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of those who need it most — through care, connection, and creative support.

About the Role
The Outreach Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting pupils who are disengaged or struggling with school attendance, as well as offering targeted support to families during times of crisis or transition. You will work both on-site and within the local community to deliver holistic, person-centred interventions with a consistent focus on the child’s well-being, safety, and educational journey.

You’ll also work closely with external agencies, helping to co-ordinate wrap-around support while promoting inclusion and long-term engagement in education.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide direct emotional and practical support to pupils and families at home, in the community, and in school
* Build trusting, positive relationships with children and their parents/carers to reduce isolation and improve outcomes
* Support pupils unable to attend school with academic engagement and personal development
* Develop and manage reintegration plans for pupils transitioning back into school
* Promote and monitor attendance, addressing concerns with a proactive and solution-focused approach
* Liaise and collaborate with external professionals and services including CAMHS, Social Services, Health Teams, and voluntary agencies
* Lead or contribute to multi-agency meetings, family support sessions, and personalised plans
* Maintain detailed, accurate records and use assessments to inform intervention
* Always uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection
* Be a visible and positive presence in the school community, contributing to its ethos and culture

Who we are looking for
We’re seeking someone who is not only experienced, but emotionally intelligent, resilient, and truly passionate about changing lives.

* Experience supporting vulnerable children, young people, or families
* Strong working knowledge of safeguarding and family support practices
* A calm, empathetic, and solution-focused approach in challenging situations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, and external professionals
* Confidence in leading meetings, writing support plans, and managing a caseload
* Knowledge of education, SEN, and attendance procedures
* Good ICT skills for record-keeping and communication
* A flexible, adaptable approach to working hours and environments
* A genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people
