Group/Division SPTS wafer processing solutions include market-leading silicon etch, dielectric etch, dry-release etch, PVD, PECVD and molecular vapor deposition (MVD®), available with a range of wafer-handling options applicable to R&D, pilot production, or volume production environments. SPTS is headquartered and has its main manufacturing facility in Newport, UK, with additional manufacturing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications Part of the SPTS Engineering division, the CVD Group is a multi-disciplined team, designing and maintaining the next generation process modules to meet customer semiconductor fabrication requirements worldwide. As the successful candidate, you will be an Electrical Design Engineer with an understanding of electrical and/or electronic design. You will be working with other engineers in the group to generate customer focused solutions and you can expect to work in a highly regulated industry to tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Electrical / electronic control and interface design Electrical assembly design Design of electrical enclosures using Solid Edge Wiring harness design AC/DC power distribution circuit design Analogue and digital circuit design Fault finding / problem solving Designing critical safety circuits within EN13849 guidelines Technical report writing Producing engineering drawings, build and test guides. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent Experience working in an electrical/electronic design role knowledge of machinery safety regulations and EU harmonized standards such as EN60204, EN13849 Understanding of UL/NFPA regulations Design of safety circuits AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent experience Key Skills: Will a have a flexible work ethic Will have good analytical and fault finding skills with the ability to use own initiative Good communication skills and able to mentor junior engineers Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team Minimum Qualifications Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent with relevant experience We offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
