Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday- Current interim shift is 8.30 am - 4.30pm which will revert to rotating shifts of 6am-2pm & 10am-6pm

We are now recruiting for a Yard & FLT Operative to join our manufacturing site at Bridgend. This position will report to the Operations Team Manager.
So what's the mission?
The main duties of this role will be to load and off load vehicles safely and efficiently. From time to time, you will be asked to carry out other site yard functions including general housekeeping, ensuring company policy is adhered to and driving best practice. You could at times be expected to cover some of the manufacturing duties, with the view to being able to cover breaks. All training will be provided.
Working 40 hours per week on a Monday to Friday days only basis starting shift will be 8.30am- 4.30pm on an interim basis which will revert to rotating shifts 6am-2pm (week 1) / 10am-6pm (week 2). Full training is provided and flexibility is required during the training period.
What are the mission-critical skills?
o Minimum of 2 years FLT driving experience and an active Forklift Truck Licence (B1) is essential for this role.
o Experiencing of working in areas where Workplace transport health and safety is practiced.
o Experience of operating in a small/medium manufacturing operation.
o Good knowledge of yard layout and activities.
o Team player with attention to detail.
o Good level of English, oral and written.
o IOSH qualification is desirable.
o 5S experience desirable.
o Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is advantageous.
o Forward thinking individual continually looking at improving processes.
