Practice Nurse Location: Plymouth, UK Salary: Up to £47,000 (FTE) Population: 12,000 patients Hours: Part-Time/Full-Time Role Overview An experienced Practice Nurse role involving: Comprehensive primary care nursing duties - including cervical screening, baby and adult immunisations, and chronic disease management. Participation in health promotion and preventative care initiatives. Use of clinical systems for patient recalls, screening, and documentation. Opportunity to work within a training practice, supporting student nurses, GP trainees, paramedics, and physiotherapists.Main Duties Lead or assist in health screening and promotion clinics. Manage nursing care for chronic conditions (e.g., Diabetes, COPD, Hypertension, Asthma). Deliver specialist care in infection prevention, contraception, cervical cytology, and immunisations. Conduct routine treatments: wound care, ECGs, phlebotomy, and general assessments. Support review and development of clinical policies and procedures.Person Specification Essential Registered Nurse (NMC, UK) Minimum 2 years post-registration Excellent communication, IT, and teamwork skills Ability to work autonomously and within a team Knowledge of clinical procedures and policy adherenceDesirable Experience in General Practice Cervical cytology and immunisation training (adult & child) Wound care and chronic disease management (esp.
