Overview
You will provide support and assistance within the operating department teams. You will contribute to the support and care of patients under the direction of registered members of the clinical team. It is a direct patient focus role, where you will collect patients for theatre and assist the registered staff to prepare the patient for their surgery. You will support in theatre to providing care to patients and support the scrub practitioner to have the necessary equipment need for surgery.

Role specifics
* We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Theatre Assistant to join our Ophthalmology Department.
* We are committed to providing an excellent quality of care for our patients and a great working environment for our staff.
* If you are an experienced Theatre Support Worker and are passionate about delivering high-quality patient focused care, then this could be the perfect role for you.
* For this role you will need to have achieved your NHS care certificate. You will need to be able to demonstrate empathy, sensitivity and excellent communications skills. You will be organised, reliable and able to adapt to the outpatient environment.
