We are seeking a sales-led Managing Director with deep Injection Moulding expertise to lead and grow our business following a Private Equity buyout.

We are a long established, specialist Injection Moulding company. Our competitive advantage is rooted in upfront technical consultancy, specifically comprehensive design reviews and tooling advice that simplify complex manufacturing for our clients.
The Mission: You will lead a site powered by our 50 strong team of toolmakers, process experts and operational staff. Your focus is the growth of this venture, without losing any of the skill and quality that has made us successful for a generation. You will be the primary face of the business, using your technical proficiency to engage customers while owning the P&L and Cash Flow.
The Daily Grind: Leadership here requires a daily presence in the production cycle. You will synchronize the Toolroom, Production, and Quality departments to ensure top quality standards are met. You have the support of on-site technical managers, allowing you to focus your energy on sales and strategic scaling.
The Reality: This role demands an intimate understanding of the moulding process and a relentless drive for growth. Success is measured by the expansion of the order book and the efficiency of the shop floor. We expect a leader who thrives in the thick of production and at the boardroom table.
The Blueprint: Your Core Responsibilities
1. Commercial Growth
You are the lead business developer. You will inherit incredible relationships with long standing clients. Your job is to grow the work we do with those clients and find more just like them - win their business, and deliever to the highest standards.
2. Operational Command
The factory is 99% run by the current team. Your 1% is ensuring standards are right, dealing with issues and keeping the team focused on delivery.
3. Financial Stewardship
You own the business health. You will be responsible for the P&L and maintaining a healthy cash flow. You will identify and justify strategic decisions to drive profitability, then work with our board to agree CAPEX programmes. You are ultimatly resposnible for the bottom line.
