Property Compliance and Risk Manager - PBSA

About the Company

A leading and fast-growing student accommodation owner-operator is seeking an experienced and proactive Compliance and Risk Manager to join its team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring operational excellence and compliance across a national portfolio of student residences. The company has grown year on year over the past twelve years, currently managing sites with over 2000 rooms in major UK university cities. With ambitious plans to scale to over 10,000 beds, the business remains committed to creating high-quality, well-managed, and affordable living spaces that enable students to thrive and build lasting friendships in a safe and welcoming environment.

About the Role

As Compliance and Risk Manager, you will oversee all compliance aspects across the portfolio. You will work closely with Property Managers, as well as the Asset Management and Development teams, to ensure full regulatory adherence, effective risk management, and continuous improvement of property standards. The role is remote, but the ideal candidate should be based within reach of the Midlands or Manchester and be prepared for regular travel, including monthly site visits and visits to the London office. Access to transport links or a car is essential.

Responsibilities

* Lead compliance oversight across all student accommodation sites.
* Collaborate with Property Managers to ensure safety standards and legal requirements are consistently met.
* Support the Asset Management and Development teams on risk mitigation and best practices.
* Conduct audits and contribute to operational improvements.
* Monitor and update company policies in line with evolving regulations.
