About the job We're looking for a Analytics and Market Intelligence Manager to lead our efforts to produce actionable customer, market, and performance insights that help drive partner engagement and business progress. This role needs a combination of skills; strong in handling data and analysis, thinking broadly and creatively. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to influence key business decisions and developing a deep understanding of the automotive market and wider industry trends. The position sits within Strategy & Insights at the heart of Autotrader as a key part of the Go To Market community. It’s the place where trends in consumer behaviour are discovered, market performance is analysed and forecast, and from which ideas for strategic direction are discussed, tested and evidenced. Externally, these insights provide commentary for national media, support policymakers in UK Government and industry bodies, or help investors and market analysts understand the automotive UK market. Internally you will help bring our Partnerships Community to work closely with our retailer, finance and manufacturer customers. You will i d entify and communicate the market trends into decisions taken by our Finance colleagues, where customer performance and supply dynamics are essential to understanding direction. The insights also help our Product & Tech teams consider potential areas for exploration and development. You will i nform our strategy, identifies risks & opportunities b y pulling together market performance insights, understanding customer needs and articulating the longer term trends the position plays an important role for our leadership team. What we're looking for Extensive experience working with large, complex datasets to analyse customer behaviour, market dynamics, and business performance. Strong proficiency in data exploration and BI tools, including building dashboards, creating visualisations, and drawing insights from multi-source data. You should be skilled in translating quantitative findings into compelling, narrative-driven reports that clearly articulate trends, implications, and strategic recommendations. We're looking for a data-first mindset, with the ability to identify signals from noise, highlight emerging patterns, and anticipate shifts in market sentiment or customer demand. Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, product, and analytics teams to deliver impactful, data-driven initiatives. You will manage a small team of Insight Analysts so we're looking for experience in leadership, guiding and nurturing teams to achieve their full potential and fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement. Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, and the ability to present insights credibly and persuasively. Willingness and flexibility to travel to London when needed. Benefits We’re offering a salary of £60,000 – £70,000, plus an additional 10% of your salary awarded to you in shares each year. These awarded shares will become yours in yearly installments over the next three years, and you can choose to either sell them or keep them as shares.
