We are Work with York Limited and are working with our local authority client to find Health Visitors within the Health Child Service team. The role is based in York for 6 months initially, with an immediate start.
The role involves working within the community and being responsible for delivering a holistic service around young people and their families.
Variety of hours will be available on a temporary basis.
Pay: £22.21 per hour.

Duties
* Deliver an efficient universal core service, targeted interventions and public health interventions to children, young people and their families.
* Plan and deliver the Healthy Child Programme under the leadership of the Healthy Child Service Manager, to ensure the best health outcomes for children, young people and families.
* Utilise evidence‑based practice to promote holistic care of children and young people from 0‑19 years by assessing, implementing and evaluating planned programmes of care to deliver the best health outcomes.
* Work as an autonomous practitioner, to undertake routine health assessments and ensure that the health needs of any child are recognised and evidence‑based care is delivered.
* Support children, young people and their families in complex and/or conflicting family situations and take responsibility for offering appropriate interventions.
You Will Need
* Registered Nurse or Midwife on part 1 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register.
* Part 3 NMC registration (Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – Health Visitor).
* Up to date with all relevant training.
* Ability to work to tight timescales and deal with conflicting demands, priorities and take appropriate action to remedy issues as they arise.
* Follow policies and procedures, produce risk assessments and reports and provide handovers.
* Flexible and compassionate approach, along with respect for an individual’s needs.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Experience of clinical audit.
* Proficiency in the use of IT.
* Produce clear written reports and deliver effectively to a wide audience.
* Ability to work effectively within a team but also independently.
* Knowledge and understanding of information governance, professional record‑keeping requirements, confidentiality and consent.
* Demonstrate up‑to‑date knowledge, skills and competencies within the multi‑agency safeguarding arena.
* Experience of working with children, young people and families.
* Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Current, valid driving licence and access to own vehicle for business purposes.
