About The Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and resilient Children's Home Support Worker to join our team in Enfield. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people living in residential care.
You will provide day-to-day support, guidance and encouragement to help young people develop life skills, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical and emotional support to children and young people
Promote a safe, caring and structured home environment
Support with daily routines including education, appointments and activities
Encourage positive behaviour and personal development
Work in line with care plans and risk assessments
Maintain accurate records and reports
Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
Work collaboratively with social workers, families and other professionals
About You
Experience working with children and young people (residential care experience desirable)
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and supportive manner
Good communication and teamwork xlqdzyr skills
Reliable, flexible and committed
Willingness to undertake relevant training
A Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People's Workforce (or willingness to work towards it) is desirable but not essential.
