Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Rushcliffe Local Mental Health Team as a Community Support Worker. You will develop skills and expertise in working with clients aged 18‑65 living in the local community and experiencing severe mental health problems.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to assessments and interventions in the community, undertaking nursing, therapy and social activities as delegated by the relevant profession.
* Work frequently without direct supervision in the community, responding to the client group’s needs flexibly and holistically.
* Promote recovery of patients and, through working with partner agencies and primary care, ensure timely and safe discharge from secondary care.
Qualifications
* Good basic education and basic IT skills.
* Previous experience working in a caring environment and working as part of a team.
* Good verbal and written communication skills and prioritisation skills.
* Recent experience caring for older adults with mental health needs is desirable.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required. Visa / Sponsorship
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band, and the salary is below the minimum required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced) and will be deducted from salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
