The governors of this 3-16 SEBD Special School in Blaenau Gwent look to appoint an outstanding assistant headteacher to join the Senior Leadership Team. The school has 3 campuses, 2 based in Ebbw Vale and one in Tredegar. The successful candidate will be required to work across all campuses. The school is well located and is easily accessible from across South Wales.
The purpose of the role is to secure outstanding outcomes for learners through outstanding provision. This will be achieved through developing staff specifically by:-
•Supporting the setting up and implementation of structures and systems on the campus’ that supports wellbeing, positive behaviour and excellent learning and teaching.
•Modelling best practice in terms of behaviour management and intervention.
•Modelling excellent learning and teaching strategies.
•Communicating effectively with colleagues to support consistency.
•Communicating effectively and developing systems with mainstream colleagues to support “dual registered” pupils when appropriate.
•Communicating effectively with colleagues to promote the vision, culture, and ethos of the school.
•Motivating and inspiring colleagues to strive for the absolute best for our learners.
•Be an excellent role model for all staff.
•Seeking out and working with a range of external partners who can support the school and learners
