Role Overview
Healthcare Support Worker within Annan Hospital – an 18‑bedded facility providing rehabilitation and palliative care.
Position type: Permanent, 30 hours per week.
Work schedule includes weekend and night shifts with a combination of 6‑ and 12‑hour patterns.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct patient care under the support and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
* Deliver quality, individualised, person‑centred care to elderly patients as part of the multidisciplinary team.
* Attend clinic and home visits in remote and rural areas.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Interest in caring for the elderly and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Driving licence is an essential requirement; alternative transport will be considered where disability prohibits holding a licence.
Working Conditions & Benefits
* In 2026 the Agenda for Change full‑time contract will shift from 37 to 36 hours; part‑time hours will reduce pro‑rata while the hourly rate increases to keep pay unchanged.
* RWW (Regulated Work Week) adopted as of 1st April 2026.
