Set on the beautiful Cotswold hillside, Farncombe Estate offers a memorable escape with our award-winning hotels—Dormy House, The Fish, and Foxhill Manor—along with our iconic House Spa and Hillside Hangouts. We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to help us grow our business, particularly within the MICE and leisure sectors. The Role: As the Business Development Manager, you'll identify and develop new revenue-generating opportunities, focusing on both new and existing clients. Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, you’ll coordinate estate show rounds, sales blitzes, and FAM trips, positioning Farncombe Estate as a destination of choice. The role is based at our Cotswolds estate (WR12 7LJ), offered on a part-time basis with 16-24 hours per week (Mon-Fri). Due to our rural location, you will need your own transport. The salary is £35,000 per annum (for 40 hours) pro-rated based on the part-time hours. Key Responsibilities: Target new business through client visits, calls, events, and networking. Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, driving business growth. Develop MICE business and establish key client partnerships. Increase leisure bookings through strong account management and partner engagement. Organise site visits, show rounds, and FAM trips. Represent the Estate at trade shows and exhibitions. Support sales efforts by converting enquiries and building commercial relationships. Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activity. Manage account tracking, reporting, and renewals of corporate agreements. Assist the events team in responding to new sales leads and tracking business booked. Attend sales meetings and revenue calls, providing insights to the team. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in business development, especially within the MICE and leisure sectors. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to manage key accounts. Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities. Strategic thinker with a passion for identifying new business opportunities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
