About the Role
Senior Electrical Engineer (or above) supporting the Operational Assets team in Bristol. You will deliver designs, manage projects ranging from refurbishment to central plant replacement, and drive operational savings and carbon reduction.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver high‑quality electrical designs for existing building projects.
* Manage project scoping, scheduling, and budgeting to avoid technical and commercial risk.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and consultants.
* Engage clients, develop relationships, and contribute to business development.
* Conduct post‑occupancy engineering activities and site surveys.
* Ensure compliance with UK and EU regulations, design guides and standards.
Qualifications
* Strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering and related UK/EU regulations.
* Experience with secondary disciplines and in‑service projects (refurbishment & fit‑out).
* Pragmatic, analytical thinker capable of applying engineering principles to client‑focused solutions.
* IT literate with knowledge of relevant software packages.
* Excellent written and spoken English, organisational and planning skills.
* Effective interpersonal and influencing skills for relationship building.
Travel & Security
Regular site visits are required and a valid driving licence is essential. Minimum BPSS security clearance is required; existing security‑cleared applicants are welcome.
