Our Procurement teams work closely with our partners to help them realise their business needs and specialist project requirements. Every day, we support world renowned scientists and researchers, policy makers and agencies that help to keep the UK at the forefront of global science, innovation and business.
We now have an exciting opportunity for someone keen to develop and enhance their procurement experience, whilst building their data analytical knowledge to join our team.
Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
* Provide sourcing services for purchases up to £100K.
* Guide and support our partners purchasing and non-purchasing community in the use of e-procurement tools.
* Maintain the policies and procedures for the Procurement teams, including recent Government requirements and initiatives.
* Manage requisitions of multiple values within the team via Oracle.
* Provide relevant support for queries relating to the electronic procurement process, meeting SLAs agreed with the Partner Organisations.
* Support MI reporting both internally and externally to our clients
* Provide relevant and timely procurement data analysis
* Support Procurement Management systems and provide data assurance
* Utilise data analysis to support Resource Planning
To do this role well you will need:
* Aptitude/interest in learning numerous procurement management systems
* Demonstrable knowledge of purchasing tools & techniques preferred
* Proven experience in the customer focussed delivery of customer objectives
* Experience of working both in a team and independently, with the ability to organise multiple priorities with time-pressured deadlines.
* Excellent knowledge of Outlook & Microsoft Office Products, as well as the ability to analyse using Excel.
* Ability to create, interpret and present concise and clear Management Information from numerous data sources.
* Data analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
* Ideally educated to degree-level
* Experience of electronic purchasing platforms, such as Jaggaer, would be highly advantageous
* Basic understanding of Oracle or similar ERP systems.
