Barnsley Council Children's services are seeking to recruit a Senior Early Years Practitioner to work with children and their families alongside the social workers in the team. Duties of the role will include: Lead and model high-quality early years practice within the setting, supporting staff development and maintaining a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Oversee the planning and delivery of play-based educational activities tailored to children’s individual interests, development and learning needs. Support children’s care, wellbeing and independence through effective supervision, safeguarding and the promotion of health, safety and hygiene standards. Build positive partnerships with parents, carers and multi-agency professionals to support children’s development and deliver integrated family services. Maintain accurate records, contribute to quality improvement and self-evaluation processes and ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection and early years legislation and policies.The ideal candidate will have: Experience of working with children and their families Enhanced DBS check NVQ level 3 Early years qualificationThe role is a temporary, full time position for an initial period of 3 months with a view to this being extended on a rolling basis and is offering a pay rate of £18.35ph (£23.86 per hour via an umbrella company).
