The Opportunity: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Manager of Business Development to lead and inspire our global Business Development Representative team. You will oversee BDRs globally, including the UK, MENA & APAC, driving excellence in prospecting, pipeline generation, and early-stage sales engagement. Your mission is to ensure the team delivers high-quality opportunities to our sales organisation, meets or exceeds lead generation targets, and represents the Pole Star brand with professionalism and impact. Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management Lead, coach, and mentor a global BDR team to consistently achieve KPIs. Implement structured onboarding, training, and professional development programmes Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Performance & Process Set clear activity, conversion, and quality targets for BDRs. Monitor and analyse performance metrics, providing actionable insights and feedback Optimise lead qualification processes to ensure alignment with sales and marketing teams Global Coordination Manage a geographically dispersed team across multiple time zones. Collaborate with regional sales managers to align outreach strategies and priorities Coordinate with marketing to ensure campaigns and messaging resonate across markets. Player-Coach Contribution Proactively identify, research, and engage potential prospects in key target markets. Run your own outbound campaigns, nurturing relationships through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and events Qualify leads to a high standard before passing them to the sales team Stay up to date on market trends, competitors, and customer needs to spot new opportunities. Strategy & Execution Drive innovative outbound and inbound lead generation strategies. Leverage CRM tools, data, and analytics to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement. Represent the BDR function in leadership meetings, contributing to broader sales strategy. Required Skills: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar leadership role, preferably in SaaS, technology, or B2B sales environments. Proven track record of building, leading, and scaling successful BDR or SDR teams Experience managing remote and cross-cultural teams Strong personal track record in outbound business development and lead generation Proficiency in CRM best practices (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills. Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action.
