Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Fund Accountant to join us on a 12 month FTC. We’re offering acompetitive base salary.This FTC offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fund accounting, reporting cycles, and system development. You’ll be part of a collaborative team supporting the transition to a new operating model, contributing to testing, validation, and process improvement.What you’ll be doing:
1. Supporting the transition to a new Strategic Target Operating Model (STOM)
2. Designing and executing testing schedules for new outputs and reports
3. Investigating and documenting test failures and proposing solutions
4. Providing technical support on complex fund accounting areas including IFRS9 and repos
5. Engaging with internal and external clients to understand and meet evolving requirements
6. Maintaining robust controls and accurate documentation across team functions
7. Collaborating with colleagues across Fund Accounting, Valuations, and Investment Operations
8. Integrating quickly into the team and developing a strong understanding of the current operating model
QualificationsWho we’re looking for:
9. Understanding of fund accounting principles and reporting cycles
10. Experience with financial instruments and accounting treatments (e.g. IFRS9, repos)
11. Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
12. Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
13. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines under pressure
14. Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
15. Exposure to transformative programmes or operating model changes
16. Qualified or Part Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with relevant experience
