Job Title: Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools Location: East of England, Essex, South Benfleet Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £13.67 - £15.00 Per hour Job Duties: Supervising students in the absence of regular teachers Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans provided by teaching staff Assisting students with their work and providing support as needed Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues that arise Required Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage a classroom effectively Education: GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics Experience: Prior experience working with children or in a similar role is desirable but not essential Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of classroom management techniques Ability to work well in a team environment Strong communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification First Aid certification Working Conditions: Working hours may vary based on school schedules Potential exposure to challenging behaviour from students Opportunity for professional development and training All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
