Registered Veterinary Nurse
Midforest Veterinary Practice
Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience
We are looking for a dedicated registered veterinary nurse to join our supportive team. You will be responsible for multiple duties and no two days will be the same! In this role you will;
1. Provide high-quality inpatient care and support surgical procedures while guiding and mentoring Student Veterinary Nurses
2. Maintain adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and uphold professional communication standards with clients
3. Foster positive relationships within the practice and ensure efficient admission and discharge processes for routine operations
4. Stay updated on preventive healthcare, product knowledge, and practice policies to offer accurate advice to clients
5. Conduct nurse clinics, oversee proper clinical waste disposal, and consistently follow SOPs in all work areas. Demonstrate competence in tasks such as anaesthesia monitoring, venepuncture, urine collection, and radiography processing
6. Additionally, assist with reception duties and support veterinary surgeons as needed, maintaining clear communication with clients throughout
This is a full time role working 40 hours across 4 days per week with a Tuesday off. You will be on a rota for 1 in 5 Saturday mornings between 8:30 am - 12:30 pm but there are no OOH.

About the Team and Culture
Our close-knit team fosters a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, where everyone works together. Between both sites, we have 4 full-time vets, 2 regular locums, 6 registered veterinary nurses, 1 student nurse and 5 Receptionists. We have a vet who is currently on a Dental Certificate course and other Vets that have a multitude of special areas of interest including many hours of CPD in dermatology, dentistry, and x-ray.
About You
Qualified RVN. You will thrive as part of a team and be confident working solo. You will be comfortable with all kinds of client correspondence. A full UK driver's licence is essential.
