Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Bradford and District Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. You will be working in a community based multi-disciplinary team delivering a service to children, young people and their families in a supportive and lively team, where differences in training are respected and valued. You will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the leadership delivery of a modernised and comprehensive service.
To provide a high standard of care through clinical risk and mental health assessment, formulation and short-term contingency planning to young people presenting in the Accident and Emergency Departments who are in mental health crisis. Working within the community, providing a range of face-to-face brief solution focused interventions empowering service users, carers and their families in decision making and signpost to a range of health and social care resources for support. The is opportunity to work alongside the Intensive Intervention Team and alongside other CAMHS pathways to facilitate appropriate intervention and care for clients and their families.
Please note that we are currently working towards offering a 7-day service which will require shift work on a rota basis in the future
Responsibilities
* Provide high standards of care through clinical risk assessment, formulation and short-term contingency planning for young people in mental health crisis in A&E and within the community.
* Deliver face-to-face brief solution-focused interventions and empower service users, carers and families in decision making.
* Signpost to a range of health and social care resources for support.
* Collaborate with the Intensive Intervention Team and other CAMHS pathways to facilitate appropriate intervention and care for clients and families.
* Contribute to a developing 7-day service on a rota basis in the future.
