Our brand‑new 27‑month Risk & Finance Graduate Programme is designed to develop the next generation of specialists who will drive data‑led decisions, support strategic growth, and safeguard the strength of our business. You’ll experience real responsibility, robust development, and broad exposure across our business.
What You’ll Experience
Across four structured rotations, you will gain deep exposure to the core functions that underpin our business success.
Rotation 1 — Wholesale Credit Risk
Work alongside our Wholesale Risk Manager to support and monitor the national Volvo and Polestar retailer network. Your responsibilities will include:
* Analysing retailer financials, commercial performance, market trends and creditworthiness.
* Conducting underwriting reviews and presenting risk considerations and recommendations in risk and credit committees.
* Work with our shareholders (and other manufacturers) to share knowledge and implement best practice in wholesale risk and network development.
* Visiting retailers to build commercial understanding, nurture strong management relationships and, on occasion, provide robust challenge.
* Monitoring funding conditions, stock‑audit results and onboarding/exiting retailers in line with policy.
* Assist in supporting the remarketing function for the sale of end-of-contract vehicles.
Rotation 2 — Financial Reporting & Analysis
Support our Finance Team in shaping strategic decision‑making through accurate, timely financial insights. You will:
* Assist with monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and pricing reporting for Senior Management.
* Maintain accurate month‑end files and support annual budget and business‑planning processes.
* Manage invoicing, financial reconciliations and ad‑hoc reporting.
* Support quarterly pricing and campaign analysis.
Rotation 3 — Compliance
Develop foundational knowledge in regulatory compliance and governance, aligning to VCFSUK’s broader focus on risk management and doing the right thing for customers. You will:
* Support the oversight and implementation of compliance policies and controls.
* Assist with monitoring regulatory requirements, business adherence and process improvements.
* Contribute to ensuring the business meets expectations around fairness, transparency and responsible finance.
Rotation 4 — Commercial
In this rotation, you will gain hands‑on experience within our Commercial Team — developing commercial acumen, retailer‑facing confidence, and a deep understanding of how VCFSUK drives sales performance across the Volvo retailer network. You will work cross‑functionally with Sales, Retailer Senior Management, Finance, and central support teams to influence performance, customer outcomes and commercial decision‑making.
You will:
* Build strong working relationships with retailer management teams, understanding their performance drivers and local market challenges.
* Support sales performance analysis, including reviewing MI, identifying performance gaps, analysing root causes and contributing to action plans that drive finance penetration, renewals and customer outcomes.
* Translate business needs into financial requirements, supporting the creation of commercial proposals, pricing considerations and product‑related financial modelling.
* Develop a customer‑first mindset, seeing the world through the eyes of our retailers and their customers, helping influence behaviour to embed excellent finance sales practices.

Throughout the programme, you will benefit from:

Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be a great fit if you:
* You are about to complete, or have completed, a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Maths, Business or a related discipline within the last two years.
* Demonstrate strong analytical capability, attention to detail and a passion for problem‑solving and show a willingness to transfer knowledge and data into real-world environments.
* Are confident communicating with a range of stakeholders at all levels and building strong relationships.
* Bring curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to challenge and innovate.
