Role Overview As a Senior Authorised Person, you will be primarily responsible for the planning and safe operational delivery of work across multiple workstreams, including privately controlled networks. Salary & Benefits Competitive salary: £62,462 – £72,029 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service) Enhanced pension scheme Personal transport provision Career development & progression opportunities Support to gain professional qualifications 24/7 access to a virtual GP and mental health support services Eye care vouchers with funding towards glasses Contractual sick pay Long service recognition Paid volunteering opportunities Key Responsibilities Operate on controlled private networks in compliance with Safety Rules and operational procedures, including the role of Control Engineer Operate on DNO networks in line with Safety Rules, OPM, and relevant operational procedures Manage operational control of construction projects and apply construction safety rules correctly Issue safety documents on HV networks Set staff to work and supervise site activities Plan HV operational works Respond to network faults Provide standby cover Key Competencies Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Excellent customer service focus Effective planning and organisational ability Sound SHEQ knowledge Confident decision-making ability Strong time management skills Essential Qualifications & Experience HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, or recognised Electrical Authorisation Previous experience as HV OHL & UG SAP Experience working on HV DNO and private networks Full UK driving licence Desirable Qualifications & Experience Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering Previous experience on HV/EHV DNO and private networks IET registration (IEng/CEng) Commercial and operational responsibility experience
