The School of Foundation, Intermediate Learning and Employability at Kingston College are looking to appoint a Sessional Lecturer to teach a combination of GCSE Maths and Maths Functional Skills. The GCSE teaching will be predominantly to students aged 16-19 years of age. For Maths Functional Skills classes we allocate 2 hours of teaching a week.
You will follow our agreed schemes of work and assessment schedules, and you will be expected to set a minimum of one piece of marked work each class every week recorded on Pro-Monitor. You will prepare students for June exams, marking home works and mock exams, student monitoring and where appropriate, curriculum development.
As our Lecturer, we would like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have excellent teaching skills in GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics to students aged 16-19 years of age.
