Founded in 1898, Downsend has a rich history of delivering a truly holistic education and has always thrived on pushing the boundaries in every area of school life. Located across four sites in Ashtead, Epsom and Leatherhead, and with a pupil roll of 815 students from the ages of 6 months to 16 years, Downsend proudly plays an important part in the local community. With further change on the horizon, with a launch of a Sixth Form in September 2025, Downsend has an exciting future ahead.
We are now looking for a new Head of Little Downsend to join our team at this exciting time.
About the role
Are you ready to lead and inspire? Little Downsend is seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of School to manage our three Little Downsend Schools. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Executive Head to shape and implement the strategic vision for our schools, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality educational experience.
As the Head of School, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Little Downsend Leatherhead, while also line managing the Head of School at Epsom and the Head of Nursery at Ashtead. Your responsibilities will span regulatory compliance, quality of education, pupil roll, and financial management. You will be a key player in our whole school leadership team, driving the vision and purpose of Little Downsend and holding others accountable for achieving our goals.
