Responsibilities
* Work in partnership with designated services to understand their priorities, challenges and workforce needs
* Provide clear, business-focused HR advice across employee relations, organisational change, workforce planning, learning and development, and performance management
* Support and coach managers to resolve complex people issues, including disciplinary, capability, grievance, health and attendance matters
* Lead and support consultation processes, working constructively with trade unions and employee representatives
* Contribute to organisational design, restructuring, recruitment and succession planning activity
* Support TUPE-related activity where required, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations
* Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that improve engagement, capability and organisational performance
You’ll be part of a collaborative HR team, working closely with colleagues across HR, OD and Workforce Planning to deliver consistent, high-quality support to the organisation.
Qualifications
* Graduate CIPD membership (or equivalent experience)
* Strong experience providing HR advice across the full HR remit, ideally within a complex or unionised environment
* Proven ability to manage employee relations casework with confidence, professionalism and sound judgement
* A good working knowledge of employment legislation and best practice
* Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with managers at all levels
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work autonomously while contributing to a wider team
Experience of working as an HR Business Partner and supporting organisational change would be an advantage.
