Overview
Senior Research Associate in Engineering Science at the Computational Health Informatics Lab, Department of Engineering Science, Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Old Road Campus Research Building, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7DQ. The post is a full-time, fixed-term appointment up to 30 November 2027, funded by the NIHR.
We are seeking a full-time Senior Research Associate to join the Computational Health Informatics Lab at the Department of Engineering Science, based at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering in Headington. The postholder will work on projects with international collaborators and colleagues from within the University on implementation studies of existing mathematical models. The role is suitable for applicants with interests in implementation of healthcare technologies, real-time processing in clinical implementation, and other software engineering work such as the production of appropriate user interfaces.
You must hold a relevant PhD/DPhil with post-qualification research experience in software engineering, real-time programming (or another similar field), and have a strong publication record in the field of software for clinical studies.
Responsibilities
The postholder will contribute to implementation studies of existing mathematical models, collaborate with international partners and internal teams, and engage in software development activities related to clinical studies, including user interface development and real-time processing where applicable.
Qualifications
PHD/DPhil in a relevant field with post-qualification research experience in software engineering, real-time programming (or similar). A strong publication record in software for clinical studies is expected.
