Interim Headteacher (until 31st August 2027)

Salary Range: L18 – L24
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Interim Headteacher to lead our 1.5 form entry primary school for a 12-month period, as Governors consider future collaboration or federation opportunities.
We are looking forward to our recent Ofsted inspection report to new standard when published. We are therefore looking for a skilled and experienced leader who can sustain this trajectory, secure ongoing improvement and provide confident, stable leadership during this important transitional phase.
The successful candidate will bring a strong track record of effective headship, with demonstrable impact on raising standards, strengthening the quality of education and embedding robust safeguarding and operational systems. You will be calm, decisive and highly visible, with the ability to quickly assess priorities and maintain focus on pupil outcomes.
Our Senior Leadership Team is committed and ambitious, and we are seeking a leader with the experience and credibility to coach, mentor and develop emerging leaders, building leadership capacity and succession planning for the future.
Experience of partnership working, cross-school collaboration will be advantageous, as you will support Governors professionally and strategically while they explore long-term options.
Above all, we are looking for a values-driven and resilient leader who will nurture our inclusive ethos, strengthen leadership at all levels and guide the school confidently through its next stage of development.
Due to the timing of this appointment, we would consider secondment of an experienced head in post to provide this strategic leadership.
