Adviser Support (Senior)
Bristol | Hybrid (3 days in office) | Permanent | Full-time
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established and growing IFA firm in Bristol as a Senior Adviser Support professional. This role offers genuine career progression, making it ideal for an experienced IFA Administrator who wants to add value, develop their skills, and thrive in a supportive environment.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality service to our nationwide client base. As well as handling core adviser support duties, you’ll also assist the Team Leader, provide guidance to colleagues, and contribute to operational improvements across the department. We’re looking for someone confident, proactive, and able to challenge the status quo to enhance processes and consistently deliver an excellent client experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day administrative support to advisers, including preparing documentation and handling requests.
* Manage incoming client calls, respond to queries, and handle email and letter correspondence.
* Prepare basic reports using established templates.
* Generate and process application forms and new business submissions.
* Monitor workflows to ensure tasks are completed on time.
* Maintain accurate records, update systems, and support compliance requirements.
* Welcome clients to the office and ensure a professional experience.
* Support the Team Leader with coordinating daily tasks and work allocation.
* Assist with onboarding, coaching and training new team members.
* Act as first point of escalation for adviser support queries and issues.
* Conduct quality checks, provide feedback, and help identify training needs.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing processes and suggesting enhancements.
* Support operational planning, departmental projects and implementation of new initiatives.
* Deputise for the Team Leader during absence or peak periods.
Skills & Experience
* Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and written skills.
* Experience coaching or supporting colleagues.
* Good understanding of compliance within the advisory process.
* Experience supporting Wealth Advisers across multiple product areas.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
