Teacher - Multi-Sensory Impairment Permanent M6 £45352 UPS3 £51048 SEN Min £2787- Max £5497 Working 32.5 hours per week We are seeking a passionate and skilled Qualified Teacher of Children and Young People with Multi-Sensory Impairment (QTMSI) to join Birmingham’s SEND Advisory Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people aged 0–25 with multi-sensory impairment (MSI). You will provide specialist teaching, assessment and advisory support across a range of educational settings, working collaboratively with families, schools, colleges, and partner agencies. You will also play a key role in supporting Teaching Assistants within the team, offering training and mentoring to build capacity and ensure high-quality provision. Key Responsibilities Deliver specialist teaching and assessment for children and young people with MSI. Provide advice on curriculum access, sensory strategies and assistive technology. Support and train Teaching Assistants working with CYP with MSI. Lead professional development sessions for education staff. Contribute to statutory processes and transition planning. Promote inclusive practice and pupil voice. About You You will be a qualified teacher with experience in SEND and a strong understanding of multi-sensory impairment. You will be committed to inclusive education and confident in working collaboratively with professionals and families. A mandatory qualification in MSI or willingness to work towards it is essential.
