We are looking to recruit a MALE Personal Assistant for a young person with Autism. Applicants must be a driver and have their own means of transport. A Personal Assistant works directly with one or more individuals to support them with various aspects of their daily life so that they can live it in a way they choose. You will be employed directly by the family of the person who needs care and support.
The Personal Assistant will be required to support the young person in building their independence and social skills, facilitating and escorting to activities (to be agreed with the family) and to support the young person in pursuing their hobbies and interests.
Applicants must have previous experience in working with/being around children who have Autism. Training will be given, if required, in areas such as Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Manual Handling. A full enhanced DBS check will be required prior to starting with the family and will be provided.

Hours - 4 hours per week split over 2 days (Wednesday and Friday) and some weekend availability required.
