Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Rochdale for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA). The IDVA will provide high-quality frontline support, advice, and advocacy to victims of domestic violence. Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments, safety planning, and developing tailored support plans. The role also involves liaising with other services and authorities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that victims are aware of their rights and the services available to them. Qualifications Experience in risk assessment and safety planning Strong understanding of domestic violence issues and legislative frameworks Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential records Experience in multi-agency working and advocacy Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach.
