Full-time | Long Term Temporary | Immediate Start
I am working with a vibrant school in Leicester that is looking for a hands-on, dependable Premises Officer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis. If you’re someone who takes pride in keeping a site running smoothly, safely and efficiently, this role could be a great match.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
1. Championing a safe, weing school environment through routine repairs, site checks and general maintenance
2. Opening and securing the premises each day, including managing alarms and ensuring the site is ready for staff and pupils
3. Keeping standards high by monitoring cleaning routines and supporting the cleaning team when required
4. Carrying out essential safety checks andpleting straightforward maintenance logs and paperwork
5. Managing stock and supplies, ordering materials and ensuring equipment is stored correctly and safely
6. Supporting school lettings, events and daily site operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes
7. Working with external contractors and assisting with minor on-site projects to keep the school functioning at its best
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
8. Previous school‑based experience in a premises, caretaking or maintenance role
9. An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
10. Someone organised, dependable and able to work safely at all times
11. Good level of literacy and numeracy
12. A calm, reliable approach and the ability to multitask confidently
