If you take pride in producing accurate numbers, enjoy a steady working rhythm, and value being part of a business where people genuinely stay for the long term, this could be exactly what you've been looking for. This is a role for someone who wants to come in, do good work properly, and be trusted to get on with it.
Client Details
This is a well-established, privately owned organisation with deep roots locally. They rarely recruit - not because they aren't growing, but because their staff tend to stay. Many team members have been with the business for years, which speaks volumes about the culture.
It's a traditional, steady environment built on loyalty, accountability and mutual respect. No unnecessary noise. No politics. Just a business that values consistency, hard work and doing things properly.
The finance function reflects that - structured, dependable and central to how the business operates.
Description
This is a hands-on Management Accountant position with responsibility for:
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Accruals, prepayments and journals
Balance sheet reconciliations
Variance analysis and commentary
Assisting with budgets and forecasts
Supporting year-end processes
Working closely with operational teams to ensure financial accuracy
The business operates on Sage 200 and has established, largely paper-based processes. For someone who enjoys structured systems and clear processes, this will feel familiar and comfortable.
Equally, if you take pride in improving and modernising systems sensibly over time, there is scope to bring ideas and gradually refine processes where appropriate.
You will be trusted to manage your workload independently and take ownership of your area. This is not a role with constant change or moving goalposts - it's about consistency, accuracy and reliability.
