Manufacturing Process Engineer – Contract Bradford ️ Contract Role | 6 months About the Role: We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our client’s team in Bradford. This is a hands-on role supporting production process improvements, documentation, and plant layout optimisation within a manual production environment. Key Responsibilities: Create and maintain Work Instructions and Production Route Cards to support manufacturing operations. Optimise plant layout and manufacturing workflows using Lean manufacturing tools and methodologies. Identify and implement material handling and transport solutions for materials and subassemblies across the factory. Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process issues as required. Validate product design drawings against manufacturing processes to ensure alignment and efficiency. Identify opportunities and implement improvements in jigs, tooling, and production equipment. Required Experience: Previous experience within an industrial manufacturing environment with manual production processes. Proven application of Lean manufacturing tools — specifically in material handling, process flow optimisation, and plant layout improvements. Competent user of AutoCAD for plant layout modifications and design updates. Experience creating Work Instructions, Production Route Cards, and other process documentation. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach to process improvement. Interested?
