Commercial Vehicle Technician (Mercedes-Benz) Swindon £42500 depending on shift & experience 40 hours. (various shifts available) Your Role If you are looking to work with the UK's largest Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealership, who has been announced as a Great Place to Work for three years running, look no further! They are looking for an experienced and qualified HGV and/or LCV Technician to join their brilliant team at the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Swindon. As an HGV and/or LCV Technician, your role will be to keep our customers’ vehicles on the road, via quality, safe and compliant maintenance. The right candidate will be able to deliver an exceptional service and to the highest quality. Day to day, you will be: Performing major and minor repairs to Mercedes-Benz trucks. Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services. Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust. Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles. Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired, using all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge. Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management. Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting. Complete customer documentation while working to agreed time scales. Skills & Behaviours Required for this Role: Qualification - You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV and/or LCV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus, will have experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs. What’s more, you will need the ability to identify worn & faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.
