Responsibilities
1. Understand specialist legislation (standards and regulations) in Electrical Engineering & Fibre Optic fields and develop plans & procedures to ensure compliance for the SPIE Wind Connect group.
2. Ensure adherence to electrical and fibre optic safety and technical standards.
3. Implement engineering standards and best practices for electrical and fibre optic works, meeting industry standards and client requirements.
4. Contribute to improving technical and operational procedures within the group.
5. Provide electrical and fibre optic technical support and guidance, ensuring compliance across the business.
6. Maintain operational understanding of all specialist electrical and fibre optic test equipment used within the group.
7. Monitor, review, and critique test equipment for suitability, performance, and reliability; support equipment selection and maintenance.
8. Ensure test equipment is in good working order.
9. Provide technical training to operational personnel and assist in developing training courses and testing regimes.
10. Support technical clarifications for clients during tenders, project execution, and business development.
Project Engineer Role
The Project Engineer reports directly to the Head of Projects or Lead Project Engineer, providing engineering and technical support for operational activities within the SPIE Wind Connect group. The role involves working within the engineering support team to deliver solutions and procedures for HV and fibre optic operations.
