Mechanical Fitter
First Achieve Engineering are working in partnership with a global engineering organisation specialising in advanced thermal processing and vacuum technology systems.
We’re looking for a time-served Mechanical Fitter to join their growing team, working on the build and assembly of high-spec, bespoke engineering equipment used worldwide.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Mechanical assembly and testing of complex industrial systems
* Working across:
* Water systems (manifolds, pumps, pipework)
* Pneumatics (valves, airlines, devices)
* Vacuum systems and pipelines
* Inert gas systems (stainless steel pipework)
* Fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical systems
* Inspecting components to ensure quality standards
* Supporting pressure and vacuum testing (training provided)
* Occasional on-site installation and repair work
What We’re Looking For
* Time-served Mechanical Fitter
* Experience working with stainless steel, copper, and mild steel
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
* Flexible approach and willingness to develop
Desirable (not essential):
* Brazing or basic welding experience
* Hydraulics knowledge
* Forklift / scissor lift licences
* Confined space training
