The UK Corporate Banking and Barclaycard Payments Coverage team connects UK businesses turning over £6.5m pa up to FTSE 350 with comprehensive banking solutions, offering tailored services in payments, lending, trade, risk, and industry-specific needs. Our dedicated sector and regional specialists provide deep business insights, ensuring clients receive relevant advice and create seamless end-to-end experiences.
Key responsibilities
* Execute small research projects and prepare presentations and reports to communicate findings; collaborate with senior management to implement research findings for UK corporate banking.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
* Participate in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.
* Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and assist in the deployment and launch of new products and services for UK corporate banking.
* Manage client relationships and provide customer service support to clients, responding to questions about products and services and processing transactions with progressively decreasing supervision.
Analyst expectations
* Execute work requirements identified in processes and procedures, collaborating with and impacting the work of team members.
* Identify escalation of policy breaches as required.
* Take responsibility for customer service and operational execution tasks.
* Own and strengthen controls related to your work; deliver in line with relevant rules, regulation and codes of conduct.
* Understand your role and how the team integrates to achieve objectives, alongside knowledge of other teams’ work within the function.
* Work within well-defined procedures and demonstrate understanding of procedures.
* Evaluate and select appropriate alternatives from defined options; make judgments based on factual information.
* Build relationships with stakeholders and customers to identify and address their needs, supporting smooth operations and handling sensitive issues as required.
Eligibility and qualifications
For this apprenticeship opportunity you’ll need 3 A-levels at BBB (or equivalent) and GCSE Mathematics grade 6 and English Language grade 4.
Beyond that, we’re looking for commitment and enthusiasm. You’ll be supported by a global bank and are expected to show up ready to work hard, push yourself, and think differently about what you’re capable of.
