Job Title: HSE Advisor
We are seeking a dedicated HSE Advisor to join our established HSE Team in Southampton. The role involves assessing existing policies, processes, and systems to ensure that Leonardo’s services meet customer needs and align with company policies and standards.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting and guiding on various HSE matters.
2. Building relationships with key stakeholders across sites to promote a positive safety culture and best practices.
3. Driving continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental standards.
4. Recording and tracking incidents and actions.
5. Managing Risk & COSHH assessment databases.
6. Maintaining safety data sheet listings.
7. Conducting new starter inductions.
8. Performing internal HSE audits across ISO 45001, 14001, and 50001 standards and following up on corrective actions.
9. Reporting via Balanced Scorecard (BSC).
10. Updating emergency preparedness arrangements and training.
11. Reviewing documents and monitoring energy and waste records.
12. Keeping the HSE notice board up to date.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Ability to achieve SC level security clearance.
2. Proven track record of delivering HSE improvements.
3. Knowledge of ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001 management systems.
4. Experience in running and auditing HSE management systems.
5. Understanding of safety culture development.
6. NEBOSH General certificate or higher (preferably working towards NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ Level 6).
7. Self-motivated with initiative.
8. Excellent communication skills across all levels.
9. Proficient in MS Office and analytical skills.
10. Resilient, able to work under pressure, and willing to travel.
11. Experience in Business Continuity planning.
Security Clearance: Ability to achieve SC clearance is required.
