Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team as maternity cover with the possibility of it becoming a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our nursery. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with staff, and a commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Duties
* Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote early childhood development.
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Support the lead nursery staff in maintaining a clean, organised, and stimulating environment.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
* Observe and record children's progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff members.
* Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.
* Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications
* L3 qualified.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding towards children's needs.
