About the role
In this Receptionist role in Leeds, you will provide a warm and professional welcome to all visitors and building users, ensuring their needs are met in a timely manner. You will represent the customer as the first point of contact, maintaining a positive and professional image at all times.
Your responsibilities will include responding to enquiries and resolving queries or complaints via phone, email, and general correspondence. You will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and building users, while developing an understanding of customers’ core business activities.
You will be responsible for maintaining high safety and hygiene standards within the reception area, following a clear desk policy, and ensuring the space is tidy, well-presented, and fully stocked. Accurate visitor records must be kept, including visitor numbers, departments visited, and host details, while ensuring all visitors are informed of building security and evacuation procedures.
Additional duties include providing general information about the premises and local area, such as transport, parking, taxi bookings, and nearby restaurants. You may also manage security and telecommunications systems, handle incoming and outgoing deliveries, and carry out administrative or office duties as required, while adhering to all security, confidentiality, and data protection procedures.
About you
To succeed in this Receptionist role in Leeds, you must have previous experience working in a corporate environment. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and feel confident interacting with colleagues, staff, and customers at all levels.
You should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload effectively. Confidence in using computers and standard office systems is essential, while experience with visitor management, telephone, or helpdesk systems would be beneficial but is not required.
