Job Summary

Join our team as a Lead Pharmacist - Medicine. We are expanding our clinical senior team and seek a motivated, dynamic pharmacist to provide clinical expertise and leadership across our medical division, which includes cardiology, endocrinology, respiratory, gastroenterology, and our award-winning regional spinal unit. You will play a key role in developing pharmacy services and mentoring pharmacists on their foundation pathway. The post holder will collaborate closely with our Lead Pharmacist - Elderly Care & Stroke to deliver high-quality, patient-focused clinical pharmacy services.

This role offers a £2,000 RRP payment in addition to the Band 8a salary, and we can provide a relocation allowance.

Main Duties of the Job
The successful pharmacist will be a strong clinician, organized, dedicated, with excellent communication skills and a passion for education and training. Essential qualifications include a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma (or equivalent experience), and ideally, current non-medical prescriber status or willingness to work towards it. The role focuses on providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services within medicine, expanding and improving our services, and developing our foundation and trainee pharmacist workforce. You will be supported by a large team of ward-based clinical pharmacy technicians.
We are a friendly team committed to excellent patient care, working in a bright, airy department with amenities including a large tearoom and outdoor spaces for wellbeing. Our service operates 7 days a week, with hours Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm (no late nights), Saturday 9 am - 1 pm, and Sunday 9:30 am - 1 pm. Weekend shifts are 1 in 8, with one bank holiday annually.
