Overview
Job summary: To work alongside clinical healthcare scientists within the Clinical Measurements Unit department to deliver diagnostic cardiology procedures.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical technical services.
* Independently undertake accurate and high quality ECG recordings, ambulatory ECG and blood pressure recordings.
* Have the knowledge and ability to interpret ECG recordings.
* Undertake non-routine tests.
* Under appropriate supervision, perform analysis of ambulatory ECG recordings.
* Co-ordinate the day-to-day running of the electrocardiography and ambulatory monitoring/event recorder services and take supervisory responsibility for other assistant clinical scientists within the department.
Experience and Qualifications
* Essential: ECG qualification or Degree in Cardiac Physiology
* Desirable: ECG experience
* Essential: Cardiology experience
* Desirable: University experience
Knowledge
* Essential: Knowledge of cardiology tests and level of experience reporting ECGs
* Desirable: Observation of cardiology tests

Pay scheme: Agenda for Change; Band 4; Salary £27,485 to £30,162 a year; Contract: Permanent; Working pattern: Full-time.
