In this role, you will provide a high‑quality audio typing service, producing clinic letters and essential documentation that support the smooth running of our clinical services. You’ll also play a key part in supporting the wider admin team, offering flexible assistance during periods of planned or unplanned leave. Your contribution will help us maintain an efficient, responsive and reliable administrative service across the Pain Specialty. Advert You will provide an efficient and accurate audio‑typing service for the Pain Specialty, producing clinic letters and documentation in a timely manner. Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll help ensure the smooth running of the service, including occasional telephone support, maintaining filing systems and using IT effectively. You will offer audio‑typing cover across the specialty and assist the wider admin team when required, while liaising with Nurses, Doctors and other MDT members to deliver a high‑quality service for patients. Detailed job description and main responsibilities 1. To be responsible for the audio typing and completion of letters for the Pain Specialty. To provide an efficient and accurate audio typing service to the departments, producing clinic letters and other documents in a timely manner. 2. To work as part of a team sharing responsibility for the smooth running of the specialty. 3. To occasionally answer the telephone, taking and relaying messages in a polite, helpful and timely manner. 4. To develop and maintain computerised and manual filing systems. 5. To make best use of information technology and to be involved with the changing technology as this becomes available. 6. To provide audio typing cover across the specialty as directed. 7. Where needed, to assist the administration teams with appropriate tasks as directed by the Administration Manager. 8. To liaise with Nurses, Doctors and other members of the multi - disciplinary team to provide a quality service for the patients.
